Shawna Crabb
My name is Shawna Crabb and I have been dancing practically all my life! As a student, I remember feeling that as I took lessons and learned steps that it would be so much more awesome if those moves could be put to Christian music and ultimately be used to praise the Lord! It's funny, because looking back on that, there was much more limited Christian music available at that time! But I can remember that moment clearly. It had to be the Lord! I just didn't realize that dream until many years later! I took lessons well into my adult years and studied all kinds of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, and Irish.
One year I was doing a Bible Study while living in Minneapolis with a dear friend who had 4 daughters....and couldn't get her girls into dance class for fall. That year, Dancing His Praises was born in Wayzata, MN! That was almost 25 years ago!! Eventually I moved the studio to Clear Lake, IA where we have been using dance to glorify the Lord ever since! I am so thankful for the many friends and families who I have met along the way! And it has been such a privilege to get to share my passion for God and dance with so many!
Makenna Crabb
Hello! My name is Makenna Crabb. I have been dancing at DHP my whole life and teaching at the studio for many years. As time has passed, I have become more involved helping out in multiple areas of the studio. I am currently in my Freshman year at NIACC. Dancing is one of my favorite activities! I love working with little kids, dancing and Jesus! I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to have grown up at this studio and for all it has taught me, both in my dancing and spiritually!

Ella johnson
Hey y'all! My name is Ella Johnson and I was born to dance! Like my mom says, I was bourée-ing before I could walk. I was born and raised in Colorado. I was a part of a traditional ballet studio there, and I had the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker with the Santa Barbara Ballet Company for a few years. My family moved here 7 years ago, and I joined Dancing His Praises Studio. I love it! It is my happy place. The studio has taught me God’s perfect love, embracing my uniqueness, and how to become a better dancer while glorifying Jesus! I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach young girls about the Lord and to dance! I am currently a seinor in high school and if I am not dancing, I am spending time outdoors with my family, friends, cats and dogs!
